Pastor Jerry Rockwell
Jerry Rockwell grew up in Pampa, Texas, and attended First Baptist Church. He was saved at the age of seven. Jerry graduated from High School there in 1959. He worked at several occupations as an oil field roughneck, a ranch hand, and a truck driver hauling cattle. In 1963,
Jerry was drafted into the U. S. Army and served two years, one of which was in Korea. At that point, God began to deal with him about his relationship and made a commitment to attend church when he returned to the United States, which he did.
In January 1965, Jerry met a beautiful girl, Marilyn Davenport, and they were married that year, which has lasted 60 years, as of June 2025.
In 1967, Jerry surrendered to be a preacher. He earned a BA from Howard Payne College and an MA from Dallas Theological Seminary.
He has served as pastor of churches in Texas, Louisiana, and Ohio. He served as an evangelist for the Sword of the Lord Publishers and has taught Bible at Crown College in Powell, Tennessee, and Commonwealth Baptist College in Lexington, Kentucky.
While at Crown College, he earned an MDiv degree. Jerry is an assistant pastor at Eastland Baptist Church in Orlando, Florida.
He and Marilyn have two children who live in Florida, along with three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
